The Big Battery Hunt | Cheam School

Congratulations and thank you to all pupils who made the effort to go home and empty out their stores of flat batteries. We know that many parents are conscientious and careful recyclers and that the message is being carried through to their children. We (and the planet) thank you for that!

We had several classes participate in the competition, with 3NS recycling the most at a whopping 7kg of batteries! Followed by 4LG in 2nd place with 4.5 kg! They will be receiving a small treat to celebrate their conscientious attitude and dedication. The aim of this challenge was to raise awareness about using earth’s resources as wisely as we can and we hope pupils and families will remember to recycle as part of their personal philosophy and routine. We have an exciting clothes recycling initiative coming up in June, so keep an eye out for that one!
