We encourage the highest standards in all aspects of living and working in a school community.  Cheam employs staff of the highest calibre who seek to mesh the very best in modern thinking with traditional values in order to produce intelligent, enquiring children who are happy, confident leaders.  We want all of our pupils ultimately to look back at their time at Cheam as the best days of their lives.

The Vision | 5 dimensions

This 5 dimensional vision has been written with the intention of maintaining, evolving and expanding Cheam’s place at the forefront of co-educational prep school education.

I have built on our already flourishing offering of a complete and contemporary education for young people aged 3-13 years, with a careful reflection on our historical traditions, whilst at the same time looking ahead to an exciting and forward looking future.

My vision is for us to provide a holistic education which, in addition to our wide curriculum, also focuses on the physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing of every individual pupil, at the same time as providing everyone in our community with clear values that are fit for the 21st century.

Or maybe it’s the prep’s ‘first class’ pastoral care and the commitment to outreach. The winning combination of these factors results in waiting lists for many year groups. Polite, fun, interesting and interested leavers head to Eton, Marlborough and Downe House…"
