"I knew when I met you an adventure was going to happen."

Winnie the Pooh

Our Woodland Learning Programme and co-curricular opportunities develop teamwork, leadership and resilience, with endless chances to try and grow.

Like Pooh and Piglet, our children are fortunate to be based in 100 acres, although not entirely woodlands! In the outdoor spaces where the children play and learn they certainly do encounter their share of adventures and opportunities both to lead and to follow. From climbing walls to stream walks, roasting marshmallows around the fire to scavenger hunts, the great outdoors is a large part of Cheam life.

The Pre-Prep is housed in three purpose built, light and spacious buildings with two classrooms per year group. The Duke of Edinburgh Building has within it the Pre-Pre Hall, Library, Learning Support Room and a French Room. The Nursery has its own building and secure playground with climbing and play equipment, large sandpit and gardening area. The Pre-Prep children enjoy a large play area, sensory garden and have endless opportunities to use the woodland and school grounds. Children have lunch in the main school house, in our beautiful dining room.

Our Pre-Prep children also benefit from the Prep School’s outstanding facilities set on our beautiful campus. These include the Sports Hall, tennis courts, sensory garden, outdoor climbing areas, on-site Forest School, swimming pool, Chapel, Drama Studio and Library.
