Public Speaking Competition | Years 5 & 6

On Thursday we were treated to a superb showcase of public speaking by some of the students in Years 5 and 6. Many of them chose to deliver a TED talk, which involved exciting new additions like PowerPoint slides and a radio mic!

As ever, the children bowled us over with a wonderfully diverse range of fascinating talks on the theme of technology, from cloud seeding to speed showers! Shannon Stegeman, Head of English at Bradfield College, kindly joined us for the afternoon to take on the tricky task of judging this close-run competition. She chose Aayansh (5HJ) as the winner, with Barnaby (6MR) and Alex (5BB) as runners up. Many congratulations to all our plucky finalists, who really did deliver on the day!
