The Cheam school Remembrance day service is always a special occasion. It gives us an opportunity to remember all those Cheam pupils whose names appear on the boards outside chapel. However, beyond that we can think about all who served and sacrificed so much.Pupils read a roll of honour of the Cheam pupils lost. We also had the Head boy and girl read. In addition Harry and Charlotte also read superbly.Mr. Kehoe gave the address. He talked about the Cheam school connection to the actual Great Escape. The focus being Lieutenant Denis Cayford who took part in the actual escape attempt. His grandson, Tom Cayford, attended Cheam and in 2008 Mr. Cayford came to Cheam to tell his story.Mr. Kehoe paid tribute to all those involved in the Great Escape but particularly Lieutenant Denis Cayford.  Flickr album: Remembrance 2019 | Height: auto | Theme: Default
