U13 win IAPS Regionals at Charterhouse  | Cheam School

The first team girls had the perfect start to their week down at Charterhouse for the U13 IAPS Regionals. The girls put in some outstanding performances throughout the day to come out winners and taking a place at Nationals over at Cheltenham later on in November. The girls took the day game by game and topped the group stage with 3-0 wins over Seaford College and Salisbury College and a 1-0 win over Felstead. This meant the girls went through to the cup quarter finals against Feltonfleet where the girls had the edge in a tight game taking a 1-0 win. We had a semi-final draw against Lambrook who had beaten us 3 -1 in our fixture the previous Saturday. There were some tired legs out on the pitch but the girls dug deep to take the game to penalty flicks. There was no repeat of the Euro final and the girls kept their cool to win the flicks 2-1 to take us through to the final. The girls kicked it up a gear in this final against Edgeborough and produced some superb hockey to cap off the perfect day with 3-0 win! Bring on National Finals in November!
