Year 7 | Olympic Park & East Village

Year 7 enjoyed a brilliant day in London at the site of the 2012 London Olympic Games. The children are looking at sustainability and regeneration and were investigating how East Village (the former Athletes’ Village) had been developed in an environmentally sensitive way. They conducted surveys and questionnaires while seeing many of the main Olympic venues including the velodrome and aquatic centre. It was an excellent trip seeing the long-lasting ‘green legacy’ which has been left behind from the 2012 games.
